Group Process Facilitator

A Facilitator is a content neutral individual who uses effective processes to enable a group to make effective decisions and accomplish its task while supporting a collaborative and respectful environment that encourages full participation and helps groups overcome barriers to reaching their goal.


Services offered by FNS
In enhancing the competencies of facilitators in the region, FNS offers the following services:

Bi-monthly Facilitators’ Forums, Annual Singapore Facilitators’ Conferences and when scheduled, the IAF Asia Facilitators’ Conference in Singapore. We provide practice opportunities for facilitators as volunteer facilitators for community projects and commercial events on pro-bono basis. We collaborate with experienced local and international facilitators to deliver the following workshops on a surplus-sharing model:

Foundational Facilitation Workshop (FFW)
This workshop introduces the IAF CPF competencies and serves as an entry level workshop for aspiring facilitators.

Specialized Facilitation Workshop (SFW)
Is a series of independent workshops that focuses on specific IAF CPF competencies for facilitators.

Facilitation Skills for Professionals (FSP)
Is a series of independent workshops that introduce facilitative practices for leaders, managers, lecturers, trainers, instructors, teachers, parents to enhance their professional effectiveness.

Premier Facilitation Workshop (PFW)
Is a series of independent workshops that are conducted by established and published masters in the field of facilitation.

Complementary Development Programs (CDP)
Is a series of independent workshops to build and maintain a base of professional knowledge in management and organizational systems.

Facilitation Service by Volunteer Facilitators (VFs)
In enhancing the learning and development of facilitators in Singapore and in promoting facilitation as a profession in Singapore, FNS provides complimentary facilitation service to Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs) and Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) through our informal network of volunteer facilitators.

The VWOs and NPOs benefit from the facilitation service offered without the need to pay commercial fees required by professional facilitators. The volunteer facilitators are graduates from FNS’s high quality Foundational Facilitation Workshop (FFW) - they have been trained by Certified Professional Facilitators (CPFs) - and would benefit from the opportunities to practice and hone their facilitation skills. These field experiences are important to volunteer facilitators seeking the IAF Certified Professional Facilitator certification. To ensure the quality of the facilitation services provided by the volunteer facilitators, they will be coached and guided by experienced facilitators or Certified Professional Facilitators (CPFs).
